This past weekend, September 27th-29th my Dad and I took a little road trip to Billings, Montana for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. We drove 12 hours in his white '99 Corvette to be on KTVQ news on behalf of my little brother, St. Jude and Surviving 4 You! It was such an amazing expirience, and I feel so blessed we were asked to be apart of this.

We got in saturday evening, checked into the hotel, (Hilton Garden Inn in Billings, nice hotel!) then met up with the St. Jude girls Katie, Karlee, Theresa, and Ashley for dinner. It was so much fun and just made me that much more excited for what was to come. Sunday morning my Dad and I got up, had breakfast with the St. Jude crew then headed 60 miles up the road to The Battle of Little Bighorn. Wow! What an awesome thing to see! I was so happy my Dad wanted to take me to see that. I have never expirienced anything like that so it was very interesting! I decided right there I was going to start telling people I was some how related to Colonel Custer, what a brave man! haha.

After that we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Dream Home! We headed straight to the house to meet up with Katie and some of the other girls. The house is so beautiful, and the Mcall family, who donated everything and built the house, are the nicest people I think I have ever met! When there, I was also able to meet the other Patient Family there to speak about St. Jude, the Conti's. What amazing people!! I instantly fell in love with Nitalia. What an inspiration. She is so beautiful, so strong, so loving! She was diagnosed last November with Astrocytoma, a type of brain tumor, has endured surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation all at the age of 12.. she just turned 13! The most amazing thing about it.. is she hasn't stopped smiling! We need more people in the world like the Conit's and especially like Nitalia! If you would like to learn more about Nitalia, her journey and her family, visit her website! www.nitaliaconti.com

After visiting for a while, we headed to the studio! It was so interesting to see how it all worked, I had never been at a t.v. studio before, or on t.v. so it was awesome! My Dad and I spoke only for a few minutes on the Dream Home special, but I am so thankful for it! I hope we made a difference with our story, and I hope people enjoyed hearing about the website, and my little brother. :)

Nitalia got to draw the name of the Dream Home winner, the perfect person to do it! She picked the most fitting family. Bing, Lane, and their baby Maddox were the winners.  Bing had just recently had a heart difibulator put in from St. Jude and has had his own struggles his whole life. They were such great people, and really deserved this house.

I am so thankful that I was able to be apart of this, talk about my incredible little brother, do something good for St. Jude, and spread the word about the website. Thank you to everyone for such an unforgettable expirience!

The total raised for St. Jude was $600,000!!
